To run install the Microsoft Updates and then open the Demo.zip file and extract all Demo file to a folder somewhere on your computer. Once that is done open the Demo.exe file in the folder.

This crashed my laptop--I got the blue screen

and later I had to roll back to major changes!

Maybe there was some driver conflict--- posting this here as a heads up !

The update that needs to be applied to run the game has dependant on other microsoft technolgy that are included in their updates. If your computer is not fully up todate I could see this being the issue you might try doing updates using windows update in the Start > All Programs and then once it says you have 0 updates todo then try installing this set of Microsoft tools and sdk.
