Hey all,

Sorry I could not make the meeting Sunday morning. I do have card sound effects made for CoW, do I need to reupload them to the server?

Here are some notes from our previous discussion on them

Mr. Rick Ross - Various Sound FX for Cards

The sounds I most feel fit with the environment of the game as far as card sounds go, are these:

Card deal 4_3
Card deal 4_4
Card Shuffle 4_2
Card Shuffle 4_3
Both Card Flip sounds
**but I hear
Card Flip 4_1
as more of a "draw card" sound

Overall, the card sounds are very realistic, I'm assuming you did them all in real life, which is sweet.

The gun SFX aren't properly encoded, or properly uploaded to the server. I downloaded them twice and they can't be played in a number of programs. Perhaps reupload those.

It will be tough to know exactly what sounds to make at this point, but using the design document could help.

Does this mean we have the card sounds and I just have not seen them?

I believe so, I've re-uploaded my work to GameComposer/GameSFX folder

It's easier now to upload files via the "assets". If you go to edit something you've been assigned like you usually would if you were logging time or something, there should be an "Upload" button right under where it says Assets. According to James this makes our work and drafts a lot easier to manage and, unlike filezilla, will actually keep the files over time.

Thanks for the info Nathan! I'm looking for the upload button but I do not have anything assigned so that may be why I'm not finding it. I went ahead and uploaded the sounds again the old fashioned way

Rick i have reassign the agenda i think that goes with those sound just so i can make sure your name is attach to them can i have you upload them now usnig the agenda. If you need help let me know. You will be the first to do this so if you get an error please stop and let me know.

Ok James I went ahead and uploaded the card sounds. Some issues I found were that I could only select 1 file to upload (so I zipped the folder of sounds) and I could not go back and see my uploaded assets after they were done (to verify it was successful) otherwise it should be all set

Rick awesome I did get them. To review them you simple need to refresh the agenda page after uploading or just leave the page and come back to it.

Are their any other sound anyone can think of that we have already?

Great glad that works. I went back to review but still don't see past uploaded items, I do get the "Thank you your action was successful." Here's the view on my side:

I have also made some sample UI sound effects and now uploaded them. I haven't began work on weapons yet because I don't have the specific make/models etc. I want to try and get as close to authentic sounding as possible.

I also have a list of questions I have about the UI and weapon sounds posted in my agenda item, should I copy them over here to the forum?

Rick that great lets up load these to the agenda they went to so all the notes are there.

For now i need fix the error you where getting i will have to do that later tonight as i am in a meeting with the 3d members.

the bug has been fix for editing post thank you for bring it to my attention.
